Financial Accountability

United Way of West Tennessee’s volunteer-driven fundraising campaigns have low costs, high standards and strong ethical values.

The amount per pledge that goes to the United Way of West Tennessee to assist funding our administrative overhead, fundraising expenses and programs costs is15.75 cents per dollar.

This is far less and more efficient than what most groups consider acceptable for just administrative and fundraising costs.  Rates of 40 cents is recognized by the American Institute of Philanthropy, or 35 cents recognized by the Better Business Bureau or even the 25 cents measured by the USA Office of Personnel Management.
